BRONX, NEW YORK, October 15- District Attorney Robert T. Johnson announced the conviction of a 40-year-old Bronx man on a charge that he strangled his 40-year-old wife, Tina Adovasio, to death.
The jury convicted Eddy Coello, of Edison Avenue, on one count of murder in the second degree after deliberating for three hours. Coello is facing a maximum sentence of 25 years to life imprisonment.
Coello is being held without bail and is scheduled to be sentenced on Thursday, November 1, 2012 in State Supreme Court, Part T13, before Acting State Supreme Court Justice Ralph Fabrizio.
The case is being prosecuted by Assistant District Attorneys Edward Talty, Chief of the Homicide Bureau and Jennifer Cruz of the Trial Bureau.
