CAUGHT ON CAMERA: Subway Clerk Becomes Batman
Fights Off Thief
You're not stealing his sandwich. A Subway employee fought off a would-be robber in Hunts Point and it was all caught on camera.
At around 9:21 a.m. on August 22, the suspect walked into a Subway sandwich shop at 1047 East 163rd Street.
To the astonishment of workers he walked behind the counter and proceeded to take money out of the register.
The video then shows the suspect rolling over the counter in fear. The store employee is seen swinging a bat or metal pipe at the thief causing the thug to flee.
Anyone with information is urged to call CRIMESTOPPERS (800) 577-TIPS. All calls are confidential.
